Website Content Mastery

Create web pages that convert

When designing your website, always keep in mind user experience. This is what gets people to stay on your site and it’s also what search engines look for. If your site offers a good user experience, which includes easy site navigation and useful content, it will keep visitors coming back for more. This is how you strengthen your relationship with your customers.

Once you’ve built your website, check to make sure that it supports your company goals and objectives. Once your new and improved website goes live, is it attracting the new leads it’s supposed to? If not, what changes do you need to make? Let your analytics guide you in deciding.

Once you have your site and its pages set up, keep updating it with fresh content that meets your audience’s needs. Always keep your ears open and keep the lines of communication strong so that you can get feedback and learn exactly what they want from you. Think of your website as a means of answering your customers’ questions.

In this course, you have learned:

  • The key pages your website needs and the specific purpose of each
  • The essential elements of an effective Home page and how to create them for your website
  • The components needed to create a compelling and effective About Us page that tells your story and answers initial visitor questions
  • How to create a Start Here page that will effectively guide your first-time visitors to the action you want them to take
  • How to create a Blog page and keep it updated with fresh content
  • Which other web pages are essential to a business website, as well as a list of optional web pages you may want to incorporate
  • Best practices and tips for maintaining a successful website for your business
  • How to put your ideas into action by carrying out the learning activities at the end of each chapter

Now, you’re ready to put your plan into action. Be sure to include a deadline with each task you need to carry out. Keep in mind that creating a great website isn’t something you do just once. It requires regular monitoring and maintaining. But if done well, it can very effectively bring prospects to your business.
