Develop a Content Marketing Plan with Ease

Developing content that will speak to your audience

Conclusion and Next Steps

Now that you’ve reached the end of the course, you’re ready to implement a content marketing plan that’s effective, realistic, and scalable.

At this point:

  • You recognize the four core areas of your business where content is essential, and what types of content you need to create for each
  • You’ve identified your main business goals and how your content will fit into those goals to have the greatest impact
  • You’re equipped with ideas on how to generate topics for your content in each core area and how it will work to help you achieve your goals
  • You have a clear understanding of who your target audience is in terms of demographics and psychographics
  • You’ve taken stock of the content you already have which you can repurpose to create totally new, high-value content for your audience
  • You’ve identified your strong points and areas of special expertise where you can offer something more than the competition
  • You’ve considered the time and resources needed so that you can create a content plan that’s realistic and sustainable
  • You have a one-page plan that includes the essential ingredients for success in your content marketing
  • You have an editorial calendar for the next three months that you can plug and play to start creating content now
  • You’re fortified with ideas on how to sustain your content creation over the long-term

The biggest challenge facing you now is not to lose momentum. Here are some tips on keeping your content creation momentum going strong:

  • Start with a good plan. If you’re organized, it’s much easier to keep it going.
  • Delegate and be resourceful. If a task is holding you up, maybe someone else could do it better. For example, you might want to hire a content creator for video content if you lack video skills.
  • Mix it up. Create different types of content, tackle different topics, and arrange your schedule so there’s plenty of variety.
  • Look for new ideas and try new things. Get into new content formats or topics to keep it interesting.
  • Follow other content creators to get ideas and inspiration.
  • Keep in mind that it takes a while to see results. You’re playing the long game with content marketing.

Now, it’s time to take action and get started using everything you’ve learned in this course.
